Knitting and crawling

Wow, a lot has happened since the last update over 2 weeks ago. On St. Patty's day, Lucy started rolling over like a pro. She goes from tummy to back and back to tummy without any problems. She also swivels around so that she always ends up somewhere else.

I have a new wrap so now I can tie the monkey to my back :-)

Lucy is a little squirmy wormy when she sleeps and this is how she was at 3am a few nights ago. She has even fallen out of the bed after a nap because she was scooting around. No worries, she wasn't hurt, she didn't even cry. Here's the story: I peeked into the bedroom from the lanai and there was no baby on the bed. I looked at Jason to see if he maybe went and picked her up, but he was babyless. Then, I opened the bedroom door to find Lucy on her stomach looking up at me and my pillow next to her. I placed the pillow at the edge of the bed because I thought there was no way she could climb over it. I think she just scooted backwards and ran out of bed, then slid down.
The vacuum cleaner was on the frits. It was smoking when I was using it, so we decided it needs a new belt. I was able to vacuum for a few seconds with the new belt, then the roller brush broke. We received the new roller brush and our vacuum works again, yay!
Lucy and I went to a friend's 1st birthday party. We had a blast sitting in the grass under a shady tree. There were many yummy goodies, great company and the birthday girl was a little angel (no kidding, check out the wings!). The party was right at naptime, so this was Lucy before we left:

and on the way home:Here is the birthday girl, Stella, enjoying her raw key lime pie. Yum!
Papa has been mastering the ring sling in the hopes that I can someday leave for a few hours and the baby won't be crying. Maybe then I can go to knitting baby free :-)
I have been doing a lot of knitting lately. Here is my first felted project, a big ball/cube with bells inside for Lucy to play with. I ended up making some juggling balls much smaller than this, but with the same pattern, but didn't get a picture of them before giving them to Stella for her birthday. I will make another set and post pics once they are done!Trying desperately to finish a pair of baby legs and a hat for someone that requested them months ago. The baby legs are SO CLOSE to being finished, I am putting elastic in them and I should be done with them in a couple of days, max! The hat(s) are done. I made two, because I wanted to do the pattern from the pink hat with the light colored yarn, but it was too thick, so I did a different pattern and I love how both of them turned out.
Ok, it's naptime for the fussy baby. I'm slinging her up and getting some chores done until she checks out. Later we plan on going swimming for the first time if it stops raining :-D
