16 months!

Ok, I am a slacker blog wise and never finished posting the pics. Here are some more.

I have been keeping busy with knitting and trying to land my first translating gig. That's all I have to say about that right now.

She climbed into her stroller all by herself
Laying on the floor like a bug, reading her book
On the tree house at the Children's Garden
She can climb up all by herself!

Helping Papa fix the cabinet

Modeling the hand warmers Mama made
Excuse the dirty face :-P
New outfit from Oma and Tante Tine
New stroller from Opa and Maggie. She loves pushing her dolls and other stuff she collects around the house (toys, yarn, socks, etc). She especially loves to run into Mama and Papa.

I'm amazed at how she basically throws the dolls in the stroller and they usually stay.
Wrapped up Minnie

Helping Mama cook

Sitting in things

Ready to go shopping
Snuggles with Boo Boo the Bear

Where's Lucy?

There she is!

Papa hates when she gets on the toilet, but isn't it cute anyway?

Cheesing on the rocking chair
Collecting random stuff around the house
Yes, she really is this adorable

Using her monkey as a pillow. Stupid car seat, no good for sleeping.

Modeling a hat Mama made
Eating banana all by herself
Uh, wrong end!
Special delivery!

Watching some football with Papa on Sunday Funday
Mama's view from the driver's seat on the way up to Indiana
Enjoying the little rocking chair that is just her size.
It was made by Grandpa Rich for Jessie when she was just a wee, little tot.
Some more zzzz's under the blanket in the car seat

15 months, now!

Hard to believe that Lucy is already 15 months. From our doctor's visit recently we learned that she is 18lbs 14oz and 29 inches long. I need to sneak in an update before I forget her progress!

She is growing and learning so quickly. When she turned 14 months she immediately started babbling and talking more. She can now also say Peep Peep for birds, Puppe (doll in German), she says Hi and waves, and she 'talks' on the phone, too.

Other stuff she does now:

Climbs on everything. Recently she starting climbing into her high chair all by herself. She even placed her bib around her neck the other day! I was slow with the camera, so I got a picture of her taking it off and putting it around her neck backwards.

Invented her own sign language when she wants help. She holds out both hands and opens and closes them, almost like the sign for milk, but with her palms facing up. It is SO adorable!!

Loves going outside. She will often bring us her shoes and sit in our lap so we can put them on her.

Loves putting stuff around her neck. Yesterday she had Meme's leash around her neck!

Sits on the potty by herself. She hasn't done anything by herself on it, but I think it is a good sign that she will at least sit down on her own.

Has at least 12 teeth. It is pretty dangerous for me to go poking around in there since she likes to use those new teeth!

Eats a wide variety of items. At Christmas and Thanksgiving she loved the mashed potatoes, stuffing, dumplings and corn, but didn't care for the turkey, cranberry salad, or sweet potato souffle. For the past couple of days, we have had oatmeal with honey and raisins for breakfast, and she seems to like that pretty well.

I have a ton more pics to post, but this is it for now. Enjoy!
