New in the Whitman household:
Papa has renewed ambition and has been working A LOT! Go Papa, go!
Mama is going to try freelance translating. I am fluent in German, might as well do something with it. I just don't know why I didn't start this years ago, I could be making good money by now! Oh well, better late than never!
Lucy is all over the place, as usual. Her new things are pointing, shutting doors and climbing. She climbed onto the filing cabinet all by herself! She has even figured out how to get down. Very impressive!
Yesterday Mama tried to sneak in a shower while Lucy was napping and, much to Papa's surprise, all of a sudden she was standing in the living room, peeing on the floor. She climbed out of bed and opened to bedroom door when she should have been sleeping! Always an adventure!

Here are some pics from our mini vacation. We drove out to Orlando and stayed in one of the time share resorts for a few days at the end of October. It was very nice to get away from Poker and chores for a few days.

Here are some pics from our mini vacation. We drove out to Orlando and stayed in one of the time share resorts for a few days at the end of October. It was very nice to get away from Poker and chores for a few days.We let Lucy go fetch the ice while we chilled in the room.

She has figured out how to open the cabinets. One day when I was on the computer she was pretty quiet so I knew she was in to something. No problem, she was just getting out some coffee pods.

Shot glasses are the perfect size for her! Here she is drinking some kefir.
Before I put the kefir into the shot glass, she tried drinking out of the mason jar and got it on her forehead, cheeks and, of course, dribbled some down her chin.

I was cleaning my new sewing machine and I look over to see her on the futon!
My new, free sewing machine!! Yes, it is old and big, but I think it is just perfect for me to start sewing! I even picked up a free ironing board since that is pretty useful to sewing :-D Geeked to hem my jeans then repurpose a couple of dresses I have into dresses for Lucy and skirts for me. I am also excited to make some wool skirts/soakers for Lucy using wool sweaters found at Goodwill. Damn I'm crafty (or at least I aspire to be!)
Her hair is getting long now. Look at that ponytail! (crooked because she is a squirmy, wormy)
Lucy was a mouse for Halloween. Here I am trying on the ears to see if it will work.
And here is our little pee pee Maus!!
